Land Use and Management

Land Use and Management is another crucial thematic area in our operations which aims at promoting sustainable land use practices and management strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change and foster resilience in local communities.

In this thematic area, ZCCN collaborates with key stakeholders, including Participatory and Ecological Land use Management (PELUM) Zambia, the Green Living Movement (GLM), and other organizations and academic institutions such as the Kasisi Agricultural Training Center (KATC). These partnerships are instrumental in implementing initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable land use practices.

Participatory and Ecological Land use Management (PELUM) Zambia is a significant partner for ZCCN, as it specializes in promoting participatory approaches to land use planning and management. Through collaborative efforts with PELUM Zambia, ZCCN has been able to engage local communities in decision-making processes regarding land use, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are addressed in sustainable land management practices.

Additionally, ZCCN collaborates with various other organizations and academic institutions to leverage expertise and resources in addressing land use and management challenges.
